The pages above show foreclosures and short sale properties. A foreclosed property is one in which the bank took back possession because the owner failed to make payments. A short sale is one in which the owner owes more than the home is worth and the mortgage holder would have to approve the short fall for a successful sale to take place. Short sales require a tremendous amount of work and a lot patience on everyone’s part because most banks don’t operate quickly.

I get contacted frequently from home buyers who only want to look at foreclosures and short sales. The misconception is that these are the only properties on the market that are priced aggressively. That is not true. Many people also have the misconception that all foreclosures are good deals. That is not true either.
